A WORSHIP CONCERT
A worship schola from Białystok, known for its unique way of combining music with visual art. In 2011 in Rome, during the great evening vigil at Circo Massimo, by the occasion of the beatification ceremony of Pope John Paul II, the choir performed the song "Oh, Mother of Mercy", deeply embedded in the spirituality of the group.
Its founder and artistic director is Piotr Kurstak – a musician, composer, arranger, and producer who, together with his wife Marta, has led the group since its inception. The choir has been active for years and is associated with the academic ministry at the Białystok Cathedral, where the image of Our Lady of Mercy is particularly present.
The choir combines a deep faith with a professional approach to music, which is evident in the diverse sound of their compositions. Through evangelization and concerts, they strive to reach people with the message of God's Word.
What to expect live?
This is not an ordinary concert but a powerful message of faith and emotion expressed through the shared singing of praise. On a large screen, participants will see live drawings in the sand, telling a story synchronized with the music.
Why is it worth coming?
Here sound and image lead directly to the heart. The Schola's musical projects bring together people who – beyond beautiful melodies – seek moments of prayer and true movement.
A good example is the recurring event “Bogu dźwięki” (“Sounds for God”), held in Białystok every year on the second Sunday of June (in 2026, the event celebrates its 15th anniversary edition). Alongside music that carries the message of the Word of God, a particularly memorable element of their performances is the visual layer: live sand drawings by Katarzyna Perkowska, created “here and now,” precisely in rhythm with the story and the music. This makes the message of worship tangible, simple, and deeply moving, touching people’s hearts.
